Goals of the Project

• Broaden the participation in movement tech projects to include activists working with US people of color groups
• Increase awareness and value of free/open source software among people of color movements in the US
• Build anti-racists practices into the movement tech culture
• Strengthen skills and experience with system administration using free and open source software among people of color activists

Outcomes

• Increased free/open source advocacy by participants
• Increased participation in movement technology projects by participants
• Adoption or management of free/open source technology in participants' organizations
• Stronger free/open source system administration skills of participants

• What role do you play in managing it?
• How likely are you to recommend free/open source software to your colleages (not likely, sometimes, often)?
• How likely are you to work on a movement-related tech project outside your direct job responsibilities (not likely, sometimes, often)?
• How confident are you with installing an operating system (never done it, not confident, somewhat confident, confident)?
• In the last year, how often have you raised the issue of racism in the context of your work (never, a few times, frequently)?
