2013 Membership Meeting

Participation

How do I participate? There are many ways!

The face-to-face meeting on Saturday, October 19 will be held in person in New York and in Mexico City and be held by conference call for people unable to attend in person in either location.

To access the conference call system, you may choose from the following methods:

  • The preferred method: download Firefox version 23 or higher, or Chrome/Chromium version 28 or higher and visit: https://live.mayfirst.org/mexcla/1. Replace the last "1" with a 2, 3, or 4 depending on which mesa you are participating in (see agenda above).
  • Using your regular phone, dial: +1.718.303.3204 and press 6, followed by 1# to join conference room 1.
  • Using a sip phone client:
    sip identity:public@talk.mayfirst.org
    sip proxy address: sip:talk.mayfirst.org
    password: public
    Dial: 9999@talk.mayfirst.org
    

Then select conference room 1 by pressing 1#.

The face-to-face meeting will be held on Saturday, October 19, from 10:00 am New York/9:00 am Mexico City to 5:00 pm New York/4:00 pm Mexico City. It will held at:

  • New York: Alwan for the Arts 16 Beaver Street, 4th Floor (between Broad Street & Broadway) New York, NY 10004. Childcare will be provided based on need. If you need childcare, please email info@mayfirst.org by Friday, October 11. If you miss the deadline, email us anyway and we can try to make provisions for you.
  • Mexico City: La Casa de la Solidaridad, Patricio Sanz 449, Col. del Valle, (a 3 cuadras del metrobus Poliforum),

en México D.F.

All meetings will have simultaneous interpretation (spanish and english).

Mesas

Mesa means "table" in spanish and is being used to distinguish the three topic areas we will be addressing (Infrastructure, Movements, and Democracy). More details are available about each of the three mesas, including how to submit and view proposals being made.
