    v1 v1
     1= Membership Meeting Mesas =
     6The Members Meeting begins in August and ends at the end of October. It is comprised of three lead-up meetings to which all members are invited to be conducted both in person and on-line. Each meeting will discuss a specific topic and these will take place in both Mexico and United States.
     8All members of MF/PL may participate in these on-line/in person "mesas". Organization members may elect two representatives to participate in each mesa.
     10Members may also make appropriate proposals to these mesas as they see fit. Proposals should be forwarded to the LC Co-Presidents (Alfredo and Juan Gerardo) who will suggest assignment to a mesa. The proposal will, however, be immediately published on the Membership Meeting page.
     12Decisions will not be made during the lead-up meetings. These meetings are intended to generate discussion and identify areas of agreement and debate so that we may more effectively make decisions at the membership meeting. All mesas are expected to address the political vision of the organization at the beginning of each meeting, in order to provide direction to the following stages of the lead-up meetings and give the membership meeting a clear political perspective to decide on the development of our association for the year 2014.
     14'''September 19, 2013 -- Infrastructure, Resources and Security in Communications''' -- this mesa will address the stability and resilience of our infrastructure and systems. In addition to our technology infrastructure, this mesa also must address paid vs volunteer staffing, office and other recurring expenses, as well as securing our internal and external communications.
     16'''September 26, 2013 -- Membership Recruitment, Movement Work and Strategy''' -- this mesa will address both outreach and inreach strategies, campaigns, conferences and how and what messages we are communicating.
     18'''October 3, 2013 -- Structure, Democracy, Membership Involvement, Administration and the conditions of development outside the US''' -- this mesa will tackle our democratic processes and structure -both in the US and Mexico - with the goal of increasing participation and involvement of our members. It will also review the coop initiative in Mexico and the conditions for the development of new organizational processes in other countries.
     20Face to Face Meeting
     22Saturday -- October 19, 2013 -- NYC
     24The face to face meeting is the culmination of the meeting process. We are now able to accommodate remote participation from both the U.S. and Mexico. At this culmination meeting, a member decides which "mesa" they want to participate in and sticks with that mesa all day.
     26The NYC face to face meeting will take place at:
     28Alwan for the Arts
     2916 Beaver Street, 4th Floor
     30(between Broad Street & Broadway)
     31New York, NY  10004
     33We are now arranging a place for the Mexico face to face meeting and are planning the technology for the remote participation.
