| | 7 | The reason is because we believe that our members should be fully empowered and in control of their Internet presence. If a member has control over their domain name, they have the ultimate ability to do anything they want with it, including moving it to another provider. When your hosting provider retains control over your domain name, they can essentially hijack your domain name, preventing you from moving it or doing what you want with it. |
