• Term - I think we should think about this based on the term of the contract - in this case September 30, 2009.

• Capacity - how many servers can we add between now and the end of the term? Rather than figure things based on how many servers we have now - I think it would be useful to try to predict server usage through the end of the term. We can figure expenses based on when the are installed - but I'm increasingly concerned about making sure we don't both expand servers at the same time. I think we'll need to estimate total capacity of the cabinet now and then see how many more servers can be added and then ensure that our plans through September won't exceed that. I would definitely expect MFPL to install at least one more server, probably two and at most three between now and the end of the term

• Shared resources - I'm purposefully mixing all tech/non-tech resources together:

• Cabinet/bandwidth/electricity
• Switch (it was donated to us)
• Terminal server (purchased on ebay... I'll have to lookup the price)
• PDU (also purchased on ebay... i'll have to lookup the price)
• Bill paying/admin overhead
• Legal authority (we signed the current contract, so this falls with us)
• Technical Authority (we've gotten a badge for you - I'm not sure what this means in terms of your ability to call in tech issues)
• Possibly: backup server(s). We currently have one installed in XO - RAID5 with 3 1 TB disks (just under 2 TB total, most currently available).
