Network Event/Peoples Movements Assembly Agenda

Basic outline:

  • 9:00 - 9:30 am: coffee, bagels
  • 9:30 - 11:00 am: Panel: Organizers' Priorities for the Internet: What should be our priorities? What are your concerns?
    • Proposed speakers:
      • Alfredo (moderator)
        • People's Movement Assembly (Rasha)
        • MagNet (Betty and Steve)
        • APC (Olinca/Mallory)
        • Mauricio (Remote via Skype)
        • Ayenay (Praxis Project)
        • Jerome (invited, LRNA)
        • Notes taken online (and projected for those in the room), noting all concerns for tech presenters to address
        • Live video stream
  • 11:15 - 11:30 am: Break
  • 11:30 - 1:00 pm: Tech Demo Rotation, introduced and framed by Alfredo. We split the group into the number of presenters we have. We split the time available by the number of presenters. Each presenter demonstrates to their small group and takes questions, then we rotate and repeat.
  • 1:00 - 2:00 pm: lunch
  • 2:00 - 3:30 pm: Small group discussions: Which of these technologies should May First/People Link prioritize among our members?
  • 3:30 - 3:45 pm: break
  • 3:45 - 5:00 pm: Report back and discussion - plan what proposals to take to MFPL members meeting

5:00 pm - out for celebration drinks and dinner.
