    15 MF/PL is leading a People's Assembly Network event at the upcoming Allied Media Conference in Detroit this summer.  We plan to kickoff the People of Color Techie Training Program, which aims to put technological skills, expertise and control in diverse hands.  We will also sponsor a day long action session to strategize how we can build a more powerful, progressive Internet.  We're raising funds to bring more organizers to these events. Power comes from participation.

    17 We've also recently become a truly international organization, with over 100 new organizations and individuals from Mexico.  Being able to facilitating travel and lodging for some of our new Mexican members to attend the conference will not only deepen the range of debate at the workshops, but will help forge new and critical connections across borders.
