What is WordPress?

WordPress is the self-proclaimed "largest self-hosted blogging tool in the world." Not only can you create and maintain a blog using WordPress software, as you can with Drupal and Joomla, you can actually build a whole website, including relatively static pages, that can all be maintained via a web-browser interface.
