66Our discussions will be divided into three topic areas, referred to as mesas:
    77
8 '''Infrastructure:''' wiki page: [wiki:./infrastructure]. The Infrastructure, Resources and Security in Communications mesa will address the stability and resilience of our infrastructure and systems. In addition to our technology infrastructure, this mesa also must address paid vs volunteer staffing, office and other recurring expenses, as well as securing our internal and external communications.  Make a [https://mayfirst.org/node/add/proposal proposal] or [https://mayfirst.org/proposals/lc2013/infrastructure view current infrastructure proposals].
    9
10 '''Movement:''' wiki page: [wiki:./movement]. The Membership Recruitment, Movement Work and Strategy mesa will address both outreach and inreach strategies, campaigns, conferences and how and what messages we are communicating. Make a [https://mayfirst.org/node/add/proposal proposal] or [https://mayfirst.org/proposals/lc2013/movement view current movement proposals].
    11
12 '''Democracy:''' wiki page: [wiki:./democracy]. The Structure, Democracy, Membership Involvement, Administration and the conditions of development outside the US will tackle our democratic processes and structure -both in the US and Mexico - with the goal of increasing participation and involvement of our members. It will also review the coop initiative in Mexico and the conditions for the development of new organizational processes in other countries. 3032Decisions will not be made during the lead-up meetings. These meetings are intended to generate discussion and identify areas of agreement and debate so that we may more effectively make decisions at the membership meeting. All mesas are expected to address the political vision of the organization at the beginning of each meeting, in order to provide direction to the following stages of the lead-up meetings and give the membership meeting a clear political perspective to decide on the development of our association for the year 2014.

38 The face to face meeting is the culmination of the meeting process. All three mesas will meet simultaneously for most of the day and be tasked with drafting a document that guides the organization in the area covered by the mesa. Each mesa will meet with a phone/Internet connection and simultaneous interpretation allowing New York, Mexico City and othe remote members to participate together. An hour and a half prior to the close of the meeting, each mesa will be encouraged to pick one person in New York and one in Mexico City to finalize the draft so it can be preseneted to the entire membership at the end of the meeting.
