= Payment Policy = May First/People Link membership payment policy has changed as of September 2011 (and further refined in June 2012). Account status now falls into one of four categories: good standing, at-risk, disabled, and inactive. The following definitions help us to manage our financial accounts more efficiently as our membership continues to grow. We encourage our members to contact us with any questions of concerns so that we may adjust their dues payment on a case-by-case basis (see ''Payment Plan'' below). '''Good Standing:''' Members who are current in their dues are in good standing. Members have a 30 day grace period after the due date to make their payments and remain in good standing. Members who have paid their dues within 30-days of their notice date are in good standing. Automatic messages are sent to the billing email address for a membership account two weeks before the notice date (annual dues) and one week before the notice date (monthly payment plan), which provides members a full 5 - 6 weeks to send payment and remain in good standing. '''At-risk:''' Members that fall behind 30 days are considered at-risk. Members with a status of at-risk will be issued an automatic warning notice through email. '''Disabled:''' Members that fail to pay their dues within 90 days will be automatically disabled. All services, including websites, email, email lists, and data will be put on hold until the account balance is paid. A leader at MF/PL will make a good faith attempt at contacting a member before any services are shut down or removed. If a member contacts MF/PL after being disabled, their site will be re-enabled immediately. If a payment is not made within 2 weeks, the membership will be disabled again and only re-enabled after payment is received. '''Inactive:''' Members that have not responded to suspension notices within 3 months of being disabled will be fully deactivated and all data will be removed from MF/PL servers. === Payment Plans === Unfortunately, due to administrative overhead, monthly payment plans are not available for our members who pay in Mexican pesos. For members unable to pay their full balance, payment schedules may be setup with the Membership coordinated. A payment plan typically requires a set payment schedule with a specific minimum payment due. For example, a monthly payment plan would require a monthly payment of 1/12 the annual dues amount. If a member fails to make timely monthly payments, that member will no longer be eligible to follow a payment plan and will be required to pay their dues in full. Additionally, members that are unable to pay their yearly dues in full can apply for a reduced rate by contacting the Member Coordinator. We recognize that this may be especially necessary for members that have fallen years behind. To get in touch to discuss your account status, please contact {{{members@mayfirst.org}}}.
