It documents our bulk email servers and the status of our strategies for each host. == Hosts == === Shared by MF/PL multiple members === The following are our bulk mail sending hosts directly managed by MF/PL: * leslie.mayfirst.org (provides discussion mailman lists via lists.mayfirst.org and lists.critpath.org) * Assigned IPs: 209.51.172.12, 209.51.180.249, 209.51.163.203, 216.66.23.44 * assata.mayfirst.org (provides announcement and other high volume mailman lists via lists.people-link.net and provides relaying via bulk.mayfirst.org) * Assigned IPs: 209.51.172.11, 216.66.23.37, 209.51.180.23, 209.51.172.9 * mx3.mayfirst.org (provides mailman lists via lists.laneta.apc.org) * Assigned IPs: 209.234.253.241, 64.145.66.135 === Managed dedicated to single Member === * morales.mayfirst.org (provides listserv lists for Portside plus one mailman list) * Assigned IPs: 209.51.180.25, 209.51.172.4 * marti.mayfirst.org (provides bulk mail for PTP's CiviCRM sites) * Assigned IPs: 199.58.80.203 199.58.80.201 == Registered Feedback Loops and Bulk Mail application status == === Upstream providers === * Hurricane Electric: complaints are sent to {{{abuse@mayfirst.org}}} * Highwinds: sent request to have complaints sent to {{{abuse@mayfirst.org}}} 2012-11-16 * Koumbit: complaints handled by Progressive Technology Project === Major Mail Providiers === Bulk mail forms have only been submitted for the MF/PL shared server IPs because PTP and Portside will have better luck handling their bulk mail status separately from MF/PL. * AOL has a [http://postmaster.aol.com/ general page about mail delivery]. * 2012-11-16, Jamie have filled out the [http://postmaster.aol.com/cgi-bin/whitelist/whitelist_guides.pl whitelist application], which also includes a feedback loop. The request confirmation code: 1353116873-116742 was recieved. * Microsoft (live.com hotmail.com, outlook.com, msn.com) * On 2012-11-16, [http://support.msn.com/eform.aspx?productKey=edfsjmrpp&page=support_home_options_form_byemail&ct=eformts Junk Email Reporting program (JMRP)] was filled out (ticket number: 1188242357). * [http://postmaster.msn.com/snds/ Smart Network Data Services program (SNDS)] tediously requires a separate submission for each IP address... not yet filled out. * According to the [https://mail.live.com/mail/troubleshooting.aspx troubleshooting faq], live.com does not have an "allow list" however, then do use [http://www.returnpath.com/solution-content/return-path-certification/ return path], which seems like a terrible scam and bad for the Internet in general. * Yahoo (which seems to include [http://www.smartergeek.com/2009/08/05/trouble-with-bellsouth-and-yahoo-email/ ATT] and [http://www.smartergeek.com/2009/08/05/trouble-with-bellsouth-and-yahoo-email/ Bellsouth]). * 2012-10-18 Filled out the [http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/postmaster/bulkv2.html bulk mail status form] * 2012-10-18 received an email acknowledging receipt and asking for a link to our privacy policy. I responded with our [https://mayfirst.org/privacy-policy Leadership Committee approved interim privacy policy]. No word since then. * 2012-11-16 sent follow up email asking about status * ATT operates a [http://www.att.com/esupport/postmaster/ postmaster support page] and provide a [http://rbl.att.net/cgi-bin/rbl/block_admin.cgi form for removing a block]. * Google (gmail) provides a [https://support.google.com/mail/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=81126 page for bulk senders] but I haven't found any bulk sender application form or any indication of a feedback loop. == open deliverability tickets == === Open Tickets tagged `blocklist` === [[TicketQuery(format=table, status=new|assigned, keywords=~blocklist)]]
