Description

hi, I which you guys could help me on this task.

In the context of the Telecom Reform in Mexico, it is an important development to make a public statement on what MFPL considers important aspects in the current debate.

We are working now on printing banners, flyers, etc, for the demostration that will take place next Saturday, and also we will be explaining to people and eventually to media our criticisms and proposals.

So, we would like to point people to primerodemayo.org instead of mayfirst.org, cause it does not sounds right when it is pronounced by Spanish speakers and it is hard to register.

Could you help us creating that alias?

I have done the following:

  1. I created primerodemayo.org hosting order in the Control Panel
  2. I added two ns records in the DNS tab that point to the server names a.ns.mayfirst.org and b.ns.mayfirst.org
  3. I added two a records in the DNS tab to domain names mayfirst.org and www.mayfirst.org, both with IP addresses 216.66.23.47
  4. I included in the Web config tab, server aliases www.mayfirst.org mayfirst.org

Is something missing?

thanks Enrique

Nice work Enrique! It seems to be working with the redirect.

I think it would be ideal to have our web site accessible via either URL, however, since we are redirecting to https, I'm not sure if that's possible.

I think we would need to do something outside the control panel - to have two apache configurations with different ServerName and different x509 key, but pointing to the same document root??
