Internet e-mail dialog box keeps appearing

Description

The internet email dialog box keeps appearing. I have changed
my password as instructed in the email; I have changed my password
in the dialog boxed and clicked for the password to be remembered to my
password list and the OK button. But the screen keeps popping no matter
what application I am currently working in and it's take 5-6 clicks on
either cancel or the X to get rid of it.

Hi rhoward,

Can you tells us:

  • what email client you are using?
  • are the incoming/outgoing servers set to mail.mayfirst.org?
  • what ports are being used?

Looping Ross in to help too. I don't see any email incoming or outgoing email from the logs for this email.

the box reappeared again just a minute ago when I was trying to send an email.

This is the message I get when I try to send a test email msg in the Account Settings dialogue:

Send test e-mail message: Your e-mail server rejected your login. Verify your user name and password for this account in Account Settings.

Can you let us the following to be able to help you with this:

  • what email client you are using?
  • are the incoming/outgoing servers set to mail.mayfirst.org?
  • what ports are being used?
