For some reason my website is down. I'm curious as to why. Could someone email me at the address above or call me at 917.657.4655. Karly is back in school so she's not handling my website stuff anymore. Karly menitonend that she had paid it for six months.

It's important as I have some school/author events and the website is down. Thank you so much for your attention to this matter.

You can also email julia@… and our new office number is 646.699.0865 and you can ask for Julia as I won't be in the office till Wednesday, Feb 20th.

Thank you,

Elisha Miranda

Hi Elisha,

How long has this been going on. I'm asking because the whois search on this domain doesn't show anything. It's reading as if the domain registration died a long time ago. Is this possible?

It does look like the registration has expired. I get this response from whois:

0 jamie@liberace:nacla$ whois | grep "^ "
   Registrar: KEY-SYSTEMS GMBH
   Whois Server:
   Referral URL:
   Name Server: A.NS.MAYFIRST.ORG
   Name Server: B.NS.MAYFIRST.ORG
   Status: redemptionPeriod
   Updated Date: 30-jan-2008
   Creation Date: 03-aug-2005
   Expiration Date: 03-aug-2008
0 jamie@liberace:nacla$

It looks like it expired and gobbled it up :(. I'm not sure it's possible to get it back at this point. However, and are both available.

It looks like it's still in redemption period which means that you can get it back for that extra fee (like $100 or something). For Elisha's info, Key Systems is a German domain reseller: company that picks up expired domains and sells them to people and also resells them back to the former website owner. Most of the business is reselling back to the owner (called redemption). It can be both expensive and a pain in the neck. My advice? Register .org and .net (both of them) at and point the domain to us.

We have lots of info on that:

and scroll down to the section about "domains".

Then feel free to continue posting to this ticket. We'll leave it open until your get the site back up.

Sorry this is happening to you but it happens a lot when there's a change in site managers. But try to do .org and .net and we'll help you get back on line.
