Description

Hi Jamie

I contacted Listserv support about how to modify web templates for the software. They got back to me with the following text, the most importance piece being the authorization to do this is with the Postmaster.

What Portside would like to do is to modify a few of the pages' html/css where it's a bit user unfriendly - like on the unsubscribe page, "cancel" and "confirm" are on opposite sides of the screen.

Thanks for any suggestions about how we might get the permissions to be able to work with the templates to improve Listserv for everyone.

The vast majority of LISTSERV pages are dynamically generated using templates. The simplest way to access these would be through the web interface. Log in with a Postmaster account in order to make site-wide changes.

You need to navigate to Server Administration -> Customisation -> Web Templates. Select a category from the dropdown box and allow the page to reload, then choose the template you want and click on the 'Edit Template' button.

Another way to do it would be to navigate to the specific page you want to change and click the 'Edit Page' link in the upper right-hand corner. This opens an editing interface that uses the upper half of the page to outline in red each template used to construct the page. The bottom half lets you select some parameters to adjust the amount of information displayed above. If you click on one of the template names it will open a new tab or browser window with that template loaded into the editor, ready for changes.

As always, if you get really stuck and can't find exactly what you need, please let us know and we can usually find the required template. It's best to take a screenshot of the page in question with a detailed description of what you're trying to achieve. That way we can see exactly what you want to do.

Since this is an info ticket, I'm going to close it, assuming a search will bring it up when necessary.

Actually, this ticket is requesting permissions to modify Listserv files on the server.
