Webmail not working

Description

Hello,

I cannot seem to access my webmail. I am receiving my emails in my outlook account and on my iphone, but the when I try to access it using the internet the page just stalls as it is loading.

This is not a huge deal because I'm still getting my emails but I need to search for an email from last summer and those are not accessible via outlook or the iphone.

My server is Viewsic.

Hi Stephanie,

We've had some disk contention on viewsic for the last couple of days and have been working to fix the issue. Can you try logging into your webmail again and see if it works now. If not, post to this ticket again and let us know exactly what happens when you try logging in.

Hi There,

I still seem to be having the same problem. Everyone else in the office can access there accounts except me. Any ideas? When I log in, I just wait and wait and it never actually goes into my mail.

I am receiving my mail on my Iphone and in Outlook so the mail is getting through. It's just not getting through when I try to log into Mayfirst. I'm trying to get in so I can add some filters because I am getting so much SPAM.

Hi Stephanie,

My apologies for not seeing your reply. The reason why you are not getting through to webmail is almost certainly due to the size of your inbox. You have over 1.5 Gig of mail messages in your inbox, this amount of email means the webmail client has to parse too much data to serve your mail. It is prudent to move old emails into different folders, and even more prudent to take old emails off the server.

I have emptied your inbox of all messages over 30 days old into the directory .inbox.2012.06, you should now be able to login without incident.
