Hey Ross - sending this back to you - I think it should be assigned to enrique (and/or perhaps you can check in with enrique about how to assign these?). I'm definitely not the one to translate !!

Jamie, hi, two questions: (1) for the .po file translation online the es_MX translation string should be added in between quotation on the msgstr line, right? (2) for the zipped file, should I rename each file inside the es_MX.utf8 or is enough to know those files will be in that directory? Enrique

Hi Enrique -I'm sorry I missed these questions!

Yes - the translated strings should be placed between those question marks in the .po file.

And also - no need to rename the files in the zipped file. They should retain those names in order to be properly included.

Thanks!

jamie, email templates translated, please see file uploaded. The wiki page Payment Policy is translated as well here https://support.mayfirst.org/wiki/politica_pagos

But I have some comments about them and also there is the need to discuss on specifics for MFPL-México

Looking forward to arrange a date.

Is still pending the translation of RED interfases, but I will reassing this ticket to you, to let you know about this.

Con un abrazo. Enrique

Thanks Enrique!! These are great. Unfortunately - I forgot two files in my original tar ball. I've just attached them (the welcome message).

Translation finished, quite raw, I'd say. Some of it doesn't make sense to me, since they are areas of red only available to administrators, others I lacked context (and a bit lazy to read the .php source code, too). I'd like to test my translation in red.dev.mayfirst.org. I'm sendind gettext file and a patch made with git diff since I don't know which patch is better, that created by git-diff or git-format-patch instead. So here they are both. I hope we can offer soon to Latinamerican people a red UI easier to understand.

Sale compas, les devuelvo el ticket pues.

Thanks franco for the translations! I just wanted to let you know i have recieved them and committed them, but am having some difficulty testing them. Once I sort out the problems I'll let you know so you can see them on the dev site.

Replying to https://id.mayfirst.org/jamie:

but am having some difficulty testing them.

I wonder if I made a mistake on the character encoding of the file, or maybe messed up with the headers, I tried to keep things simple, and use only accents for the strings requiring it in Spanish.

Once I sort out the problems I'll let you know so you can see them on the dev site.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll stay tuned ;-)

I checked the changeset:478e004/red and I found suspicious seeing big blocks (Trac says there are only 11 differences, when I translated a lot of strings!) in the patch instead of many little changes to the msgstr. I noticed then the line numbers are changed, i.e.:

The original red.po file had:

#: ui/share/src/modules/class.red.hosting_order.inc.php:236
#: ui/share/src/modules/class.red_item_hosting_order_access_ui.inc.php:37
#: ui/share/src/functions.inc.php:393
#: common/share/src/modules/class.red_item_cron.inc.php:30
msgid "Login"
msgstr ""

And my translated file has:

#: ui/share/src/functions.inc.php:423
#: ui/share/src/modules/class.red_item_hosting_order_access_ui.inc.php:34
#: ui/share/src/modules/class.red.hosting_order.inc.php:208
#: common/share/src/modules/class.red_item_cron.inc.php:26
msgid "Login"
msgstr "Iniciar sesión"

I wondered if I forgot to update the strings before doing the translation, but then run again the command to update the strings catalog and msgmerge didn't found the changes I expected to find. Finally I noticed there are several remote branches, and I've worked only against the red.po and php source files in master branch.

Checking out another branch, updating strings catalog, and putting the output of msgmerge in another file, then I found more matches in number lines, but I don't know against which branch then apply the translated strings. I didn't think about this issue before, assuming red was running on the master branch and others were used to fixes/dev only.

Anyway, most of my translations are aplicable to the updated catalog. Just wondering which branch is the right one ... Think we are about to find the fix to this issue ;-)

Enrique
