Out of space on fannie.mayfirst.org

Description

Hi there,

I'm trying to troubleshoot a failed backup for Domestic Workers United. It seems like dwu-sync's home directory is /home/dwu-sync, which is on the root partition, which is out of space. It looks like there's a separate partition mounted at /home/members:

dwu-sync@fannie:/home/members$ df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/mapper/vg_fannie0-root
                      2.8G 2.7G 0 100% /
tmpfs 502M 0 502M 0% /lib/init/rw
udev 497M 120K 496M 1% /dev
tmpfs 502M 0 502M 0% /dev/shm
/dev/vda1 471M 47M 401M 11% /boot

I'm guessing that dwu-sync's home directory should be at /home/members/dwu-sync?

hi takethestreets,

I think there's a backup located here:

0 fannie:/home/members/domesticworkersunited/backups/

I found what seem to be current files in this directory structure. Can you see if this is correct?

Obviously we still need to extend the root lv.

Yeah - sorry, I don't know why I spaced on that. It looks like the symlink to that directory from the home directory got blown away by accident.

I think that rather than extending the root vm, you just need to put /home on its own partition, so someone filling up home won't fill up the root partition.
