Reported by: Grainne Owned by: Ross
Priority: Medium Component: Tech
Keywords: fast_cgi internal_error Cc:
Sensitive: no

Description

Hi... my index in 'web' works find, but once you go into a folder I get a 500 error: Premature end of script. mod_fcgid: error reading da\ ta from FastCGI server

(you can see if you go to: grainne.mayfirst.org/columbialrap, or i put a fresh wordpress install at .../anonlg that shows the same error. the columbialrap site is some little thing i made, so i don't think its a problem with the install. but maybe!)

either way thanks for looking into this!

Sorry about that G. When we changed the ownership of the files to the user grainne, we did so on the webroot/bin directory. Apparently this created an untenable condition for the php-cgi script. There might be other unintended consequences of this ownership change.

One thing that I could foresee is that you'll still need to login as grainneoneilweb in order to modify your php.ini file at ../include/php5. I don't think anything else should be effected, but it is possible.

Nonetheless, your sites should be ready to go.
