Description

Hello, I have been having trouble logging into my account outside of the office. I have my email account set up to sync with my Outlook, so I don't need to login, but when I want to check my email outside of work, I can't log in because it tells me that the password does not match with the username. If you could help me out, I would really appreciate it - I'm leaving the country tomorrow and would love to be able to access my email while I'm there. I probably should have sent this inquiry a while ago, I'm sorry for doing this so last minute! Thank you so much, Carmen

Hi Carmen,

I'm not sure why that would happen.

For starters - you should be able to access your email via our webmail. That should work regardless of where you on the Internet.

Your username is carmencs and your mail server is chavez. Can you try that and see if you can access your mail?

Also - in order to respond to this ticket, you will need to login to the ticket system. You can do that by clicking on the Login link and entering the same user/pass that you use to check your email.

Finally - you may want to review your Outlook configuration, comparing it with our setup help file. Maybe your Outlook is configured to use a proxy in your office network??

Hi Carmen,

This does seem like a difficult problem. Unfortunately, Outlook is proprietary software so we can't help you as much as we would like. I'm assigning this ticket to Jon who might be more able to walk you through an Outlook setup. Please note that you can check your email anytime using webmail at https://members.mayfirst.org

Sorry that you have yet to find a solution to this problem.

Are you trying to access your account from outside of work on the same computer you use at work? or are you using a different computer? What e-mail program are you using when you try to check your mail outside of work?

Have you tried using webmail to access your e-mail account as ross suggests?
