Hi Langston--

I'm going to follow the directions in this comment to do this on didier:

I assume that's what you want.

I think this is now done.

I did:

0 mitchel@didier:~$ maildirmake Maildir/.detected-spam
0 mitchel@didier:~$ cat > ~/.mailfilter <<'EOF'
> logfile "$HOME/mailfilter.log"
>
> # get rid of spam
> if (/^X-Spam-Flag: YES/)
> {
>         to "Maildir/.detected-spam/"
> }
> EOF
0 mitchel@didier:~$

I just checked the account and the detected-spam box is there but it didn't filter any of the current spam into the box. With the last account it cleared out a ton of the other spam messages after jamie put it in place. Is there a command to filter the spam that was flagged before into that box? Thanks dkg

the commands i ran created the mailbox and instruct maildrop to move detected spam upon delivery.

i wouldn't have expected it to move already-delievered mail.

I just tried to move all the already-detected mail with this command:

0 mitchel@didier:~$ mv -i $(grep --files-with-matches '^X-Spam-Flag: YES$' Maildir/cur/* ) Maildir/.detected-spam/cur/
0 mitchel@didier:~$

hopefully that worked!
