#2337 closed Question/How do I...? (fixed)

Possible to recover email?

Yesterday, while I was transfering DNS settings, there was a short period when our email was not being routed correctly. In response to support ticket #2329, Alfredo did mention that the email was being received, though not reaching our final inboxes on the Gmail server.

This would have affected email that was sent to the domain between 4 pm and 8 pm ET yesterday. Is it possible to recover that mail? Most importantly, we are looking for mail that was sent to skj@…, our executive director.

Hi - Unfortunately, during that period, email was being directed to our server, but since no email addresses were configured on our server, the messages were bounced. The best we could provide is a list of email address who attempted to email your e.d. - but since our server did not accept the messages, we can't recover the message itself.

If you'd like us to email you the addresses that attempted to send messages - please post the email address you'd like us to send it (since this is a public forum - I'd rather not post that list here).

thanks, jamie. the list of addresses that attempted would be helpful... better than nothing.

so, there are four "in-boxes" that are most important for us to attempt to recover:

<skj [at]> <jim [at]> <frank [at]> <info [at]>

can you send the information directly to <webmaster [at]>? thanks!

I'm closing this ticket, assuming that these addresses were sent.
