Description
I'm a long-time Linux user / programmer / sysadmin, and am comfy on Debian, RedHat and Arch derivatives.
I signed up for May First yesterday. I've never used NextCloud (or OwnCloud) but I've used Dropbox.
This morning, I installed the NextCloud Ubuntu packages with the intent of integrating everything into the file manager, and other applications.
I went through the NextCloud setup wizard, and though it says it's got my username and share.mayfirst.org, it's not connecting.

Never mind. After repeated attempts, and deleting both the syncing directory and the configuration... and most importantly, finding the rather small notice that E2E is still alpha, I've managed to get everything going, though now I feel silly.

Don't feel silly! I have huge regrets around enabling e2e in our Nexztcloud installation. It's a terrible implementation but it's hard to remove because we're worried about cutting access to the handful of individuals actually using it.

Although I found and followed the directions in the wiki, it is refusing to accept the E2E encryption passphrase. (I know I have the phrase that I was given.)
Then, I probably made things worse by deleting the syncing directory, in the hopes that it would recreate it from scratch. Instead, it insists that it is still syncing to the directory.
