Description (last modified by )
I have just logged in to my website only to discover that numerous changes I made yesterday (and perhaps the day before) have disappeared. I am wondering whether the database server crashed.. I was getting a number of warnings yesterday that the database connection could not be established but retrying always cured the problem. Now I have lost a day's work on my website at ecosoc.net. I have no backup software running yet so it is not possible that I inadvertently restored my website from a backup. Can you explain what happened?
I am classifying this ticket as urgent because I don't know whether to try to restore yesterday's work manually which will take hours.
I wrote the message above after consulting the page on Tickets that included the following "Before posting a ticket please check our service advisories page or the timeline of recent posts to see if we are already working on the problem you have identified." The link to the "service advisories page" failed. I then noticed that there was a "system status" link on the Mayfirst.org home page. This took me to a page of service advisories which informed me that Amilcar's mariadb database has been restored from backup. It also says to open a ticket if this is a problem. For me, it is a problem. Because I am just getting the website set up, I made numerous changes to the website yesterday. Is there anything else I can do besides restore step by step from memory? Thanks for your effort to resolve this ticket.

Thanks, JaimeV. I appreciate your effort. I will not begin working on the website until you have had a chance to see what you can do! My wife will be happy to see me take a day off. Good luck!
