#14444 assigned Bug/Something is broken

Question about mobile app calendar

One of our primary reasons for joining transitioning to nextcloud was to have secure calendars, however mobile app doesn't have a calendar in it, is the only way to have the calendar work to download the app that cost 5 dollars per person?

No, you shouldn't have to do that unless you think that app is worth it. The NextCloud calendar can provide you with a CalDav link that it can sync through which should be compatible with both ios and android calendar apps. I have installed this additional utility on my android based device so that the native calendar app will sync eaily with CalDav.

Let me know if you need any more info.

The link only takes me to an app that cost 5 dollars. I see other apps in the app store but that is the only one that I see that works on both ios and android. Do you have a recommendation for one that is free that supports android and ios?

Hi sorry for the delay,

I didn't realize it costs $5 in the Google Play Store. You can download it for free from F-droid, the free software repository for android.

You will have to first install F-droid which gives you access to a lot of other nice free software apps as well.

I haven't set this up on ios yet but I think it should be possible without an app.

Let me know if you have any problem with either of those methods.
