Storage Space for Rogue Climate documents in NextCloud

Description

Hello, My staff at Rogue Climate seem to be running into continued issues of storage space. I have 15 gb and my director has 10. I haven't checked with rest of the staff but I have some questions. Are there any suggestions on how to manage storage space? -we are thinking of storing our photos and videos on an external hard drive since they take so much space. Do each of us at Rogue Climate have separte GB per user? We have 6 on staff that have Next cloud accounts through May first. Do we and should we pay for more storage, is that an option?

Each user does have their own storage limit setting. We can change that for you as needed with the caveat that we cannot infinitely support growing storage space under our current membership agreements and dues. We do not at the moment have a set amount but some members have volunteered to contribute larger membership dues to help out with storage costs. I am copying jamie here who can tell you more about that. This issue will definitely come up at our annual membership meeting which I encourage you to attend

Storing large files like photos and videos that don't need to shared among your staff on a daily basis is a valid strategy. I you choose to do this consider a strategy that allows you to keep multiple copies synced across external hard drives or computers in case of disk failure.

It explains how you can setup one user for your entire organization that can share a single folder with the rest of your staff. This way, we can increase the quota for just one user, and all staff can access that directory.

Our general membership dues are $200/year. We can bump one of your accounts up to 25GB or 50GB if necessary - however, we would ask that you increase your dues to help offset the costs. Many organizations can go to $300 or $400 without adversely affecting their budgets. Let us know if that's something you could do as well.
