not receiving emails frmo GitLab...locked out of GitLab account

Hi there,

I am not receiving emails from gitlab. As a result I am locked out of my gitlab account, and can't get the password reset mail.

I received this message from their support staff:

"I have checked our mail server and it seems that we've been unable to deliver the confirmation email due to the error 554 5.7.1 <>: Recipient address rejected: Delivery refused, this email address appears to be abandoned."

Other than these emails from GitLab, I seem to be receiving emails at my abel@… without issue.

Literally as soon as I submitted this ticket I started receiving emails.

This has been going on for days, and now suddenty it is working. Perhaps Gitlab did something on their end.

No problem - thanks for the report. I'm not 100% sure why they would have gotten that bounce back.

Sometimes people get the abandoned email bounce in error because they forward their email to another server and they receive their email on our server. If they are not logging into our server, we think the email address is abandoned and start bouncing email (even though they have been getting the forwarded email).

Have you by chance made any changes to how your email is forwarded?
