#13666 assigned Bug/Something is broken

NextCloud Client not Syching Properly

Reported by: Owned by:

I have a second account on nextcloud that I am trying to sync to my desktop and while I can log in to the account to sync it, and it will say that the folder contains approx the amount of storage and it does it I log on online, the sub folders do not actually show up. For example, if I click that I would like to manually choose which folders to sync it will say that there actually aren't any folders in that account even though it also says that the account is filled with 17G of information. I was able to see the folders I was looking for when I clicked for the "ignored files" but I am unsure why they are being ignored or how to reverse that. Do you have any suggestions for resolving this issue?

Thank you! Margaret

Hi what is the name of the account?

The second account is gbbc.leftroots

I see that the quota for bbc.leftroots as been increased to 20GB. Is the account you are syncing with "margaret.leftroots"? If so, we need to increase your quota there too.

I don't need it to synch to the Margaret.leftroots account because I can login to the GBBC.leftroots account. It was not synching to my computer from the GBBC account prior to me sharing it with Margaret.leftroots (which was an attempt to get around the issue as I have other files synched to my computer from Margaret.leftroots.)

Hi margaret - if you click "Activity" and then click the "Not synced" tab to list the files and folders not synced - do you see the reason for not syncing? For example, I have a number of files that say "File is listed on the ignore list" or "File is hidden" - that might be a clue.

Also, if you click on the General button, you can see if your client is configured to ask for confirmation if a file is over a certain amount.

Let us know if any of that helps. If you don't see some of these options, you also might try seeing if there is a newer version of your desktop client:
