Email is not seeming to Work

Description

We have: 0) set up users in the control panel. 0.5) by the way you have a bug when creating a user that it loads a default user's information and makes it impossible to edit other users... 1) assigned email addresses to them in the control panel. 2) we go to roundtable.mayfirst.org. 3) or roundtable.ojosdeagua.org (which, of course, does not work but just to see) 4) we use the email as the login 5) we use the password we set with the user in the control panel 6) we fail. 7) we try again using the user that we let in the control panel for the login name. 8) we two times fail.

BTW, webmail works. But it's not pretty. Is there a way we can stick with roundcube?

Also, emails to be forwarded to other emails, take 2 days to arrive...

That may be an issue trying to autofill the control forms with your own data. Does they same thing happen in all browsers?

1) assigned email addresses to them in the control panel. 2) we go to roundtable.mayfirst.org.

It should be https://roundcube.mayfirst.org It can take up to 5 minutes for newly created e-mail addresses to gain access to roundcube.

3) or roundtable.ojosdeagua.org (which, of course, does not work but just to see) 4) we use the email as the login

For MFPL e-mail logins use the username that is the designated recipient of an e-mail address and not the address itself.

Can you tell me the address and the approximate time sent for each mail that was affected by this delay. That will help me search for an explanation in the logs of what is happening.

Does they same thing happen in all browsers? I believe we have only tried using Firefox, but it does some weird autofilling activity.

It should be ​https://roundcube.mayfirst.org It can take up to 5 minutes for newly created e-mail addresses to gain access to roundcube. Yes, you are totally correct. It was a spelling mistake when typing this ticket. We tried roundcube and the problem was as described, even with e-mail addresses that were created a week ago.

Can you tell me the address and the approximate time sent for each mail that was affected by this delay. That will help me search for an explanation in the logs of what is happening. Will get back to you with more information on this. But the first time it happened was on the 25 of March, email was sent to angelica@… and was not received (we had set a forwarding service to a different email provider).

Yes, it is not something we can control on our end but you can configure your browser to stop doing that. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/control-whether-firefox-automatically-fills-forms

Did you see my comment above about using the username to login? Can you tell me which addresses were giving you problems? Do you mind if I temporarily change the password to test the user login myself from here?

March 25th is too far back for me to check on as we don't keep logs past 5 days. If you have an example from within the past 5 days I can check on that.

please do test at your will. tested the issue with the autofil, and you are correct, it is a browser setup issue.

Tested the speed of the email today, and now it seems to be sending and receiving them quickly...

Try making sure you enter the login name in strictly lowercase.
