Description

Hiya,

Not sure what's gone wrong but our website gives me this error message:

Error The website encountered an unexpected error. Please try again later. Error message PDOException: SQLSTATE[28000] [1045] Access denied for user 'cw2_drup1'@'localhost' (using password: YES) in lock_may_be_available() (line 167 of /usr/local/share/drupal-7.56/includes/lock.inc).

Could you take a look?

Many thanks, Becca

Hi, this seems to be specific to your site. Did you by any chance modify the password of the cw2_drup1 user? It seems to have been updated two days ago.

There are some recommendations here but i wonder if it would be easier to just assign the db user a new password and make sure the settings.php file is updated. https://www.drupal.org/node/1059244

ah yes, my colleague Nicole thinks she might have done this - and sends her apologies! She's been working on transferring the site to wordpress. Do you know how we can fix it?

thanks so much.

  • Resolution set to fixed
  • Status changed from assigned to feedback

Actually i've just copied the original database user password from the settings.php file and edited the database user in the control panel to set the same password again and that seems to have fixed it.

Heya,

Bizarrely now the wordpress site we have created has gone down - https://cwtemp.mayfirst.org

Is this due to the above or another error? How can we get it live again? It was working two days ago. I'd set aside the whole day to work on it so any support right now would be super appreciated.

Big thanks,

Nicole

Weird - I got this message on my phone and couldn't get into your site (it seemed to be a DNS problem). But now that I'm on my computer and can debug... it seems to be working. Did you do anything to fix it?
