Hi- Please note that messages sent to the list "bk-list" are sometimes taking up to 12 hours to reach the recipients. Addresses at are especially slow. Can this be fixed? (Note too that mail from the several lists held by the Fourth Street Food Co-op, i.e., 4@… and 4@…, among two or three others, is similarly delayed. I'll alert the tech person to this.) Hi, can you give me the sending address and approximate time of a specific mail sent to the list? That will help me track its process through our logs so I can track what happened.


comment:2 Changed 3 years ago by Bill Koehnlein was posted to Bk-list <bk-list@…>. Five messages yesterday: at 20:08, 20:09, 20:10, 20:11 and 20:14. Five were sent out today, between 12:38 and 12:44. Yes, mine. Messages yesterday that were sent between 20:08 and 20:14 didn't arrive until 3:52, 4:06, 4:23, 4:25 and 4:29. A few other people I checked with reported similar delays. Usually posts from bk-list arrive within minutes (sometimes seconds) of sending. Similarly, a message sent yesterday to toplab-announce@… at 16:48 was not received until 00:46 today. Thanks for looking into this.

Maybe this information is useful. I send messages to bk-list only from my main address, bill@…, which is at MF.

It turns out there was a lot of mail accumulated rustin's e-mail 3 e-amil queues dedicated to delivering to gmail as a result of #11681. We've cleared out the spurious mail and added 3 more gmail relays to help work through the backlog. Hopefully your messages will be delivered soon and we won't have these delays tomorrow.
