#1026 closed Bug/Something is broken (fixed)

missing email

Reported by: dara@… Owned by:

Keywords: email Cc:
Sensitive: no

Two different people sent me multiple emails today that I did not get. I am worried there are other messages I didn't get. One person was within the system (alissa@…) and the other outside the system (chanarothman@…)

Please let me know how I can check to make sure I am not missing other mail,

Hi Dara,

Well, taking Alissa. At 4:27 pm today, Alissa sent you an email and it passed through our system

May 22 16:27:35 malcolm postfix/qmgr[28861]: 4C7978DDCC: from=<alissa@…>, size=107107, nrcpt=1 (queue active) May 22 16:27:35 malcolm amavis[32117]: (32117-02) Passed CLEAN, []

Then after queueing, etc., for like two seconds or something, it was delivered to you.

May 22 16:27:37 malcolm postfix/local[28013]: 4C7978DDCC: to=<darajf@…>, relay=local, delay=2.7, delays=0.06/0.02/0/2.6, dsn=2.0.0, status=sent (delivered to command: /usr/bin/maildrop)

"status=sent, usr/bin/maildrop" means it was delivered

Is this the one you think is not arriving? (*about 4:27 pm today)

If not, let us know.

Jamie will post the results for the other email situation (Chana).

I see two deliveries from chana - 1:37 pm and 1:47 pm - did you get these?

Sent via email:

 Hey guys,

I sent you both replies on email yesterday but cannot figure out how to
reply to the ticket. Please let me know if there is a better way and if
you got my responses. The answer was the same for both, I did get
multiple emails from both people, but they had to re-send info they had
already sent me. For example, this is from chana, she sent the message
below at 1:37am. I had not received it and she re-sent it at 1:37pm.

   ---------- Forwarded message ----------
   From: Chana Rothman <>
   Date: May 22, 2008 1:34 AM
Subject: actors & musicians needed for Jewish social justice event on the
   Lower East Side
   To: Dara Silverman <>

Hi Dara,

You can reply to the ticket by first clicking the login link in the top right. You can enter the same username and password you use when logging into your email to get access to the ticket system. Once you are logged in, you will be returned to this ticket and there will be a comment box at the bottom.

As for the email from chana sent at 1:37 am - our logs indicate that it was delivered to your mailbox at 1:34 am (it seems our computers times are a little bit out of sync):

May 22 01:34:50 malcolm amavis[367]: (00367-08) Passed CLEAN, [] [] <> -> <>, Message-ID: <>, mail_id: kOTVVVOX3fly, Hits: -, queued_as: A0C498DAF5, 202 ms
May 22 01:34:52 malcolm postfix/local[32087]: A0C498DAF5: to=<>, relay=local, delay=2, delays=0.05/0/0/1.9, dsn=2.0.0, status=sent (delivered to command: /usr/bin/maildrop)

Is it possible that you are doing spam checking or any other filtering in Thunderbird? I'm not sure why you were not able to see original message.
